Momentum Continues for the Sparks Street Public Realm Plan
On Wednesday, November 27th, 2019, Ottawa City Council approved the Sparks Street Public Realm Plan. Over the last 24 months, our design team made up of staff from the City of Ottawa, the Federal government, the National Capital Commision, the Sparks Street BIA and Mall Authority our consultants Vlan with Civiliti and WSP, have worked diligently to create a beautiful and functional design incorporating thousands of thoughts and suggestions from residents, property owner, business owners, and interested organizations.

Next Steps
The Public Realm plan has now been accepted by the City of Ottawa and the National Capital Commission. We hope to begin the engineering phase of the project by the Spring of 2020. Construction would then begin in the Spring of 2022.
