Lindsay is the co-owner of True Bijoux and Howard Fine Jewellers, a second generation family owned retailer on the Sparks Street Mall. Her store is an award winning jewelry boutique featured in both national and international magazines. Sparks Street holds a special place in her heart, since her father and uncle started Howard Fine Jewellers on Sparks Street and she grew up seeing all the changes. Lindsay loves Sparks Street and is excited to join the board for a second term. We have a rare opportunity as a street since we are nestled between Parliament, The War Memorial and The Chateau Laurier. She is excited to lend her voice to grow the vibrancy of the area!

Owner/Operator of Society Salon and Blow Dry Bar located at 90 Sparks Street
Stefania has been a hairstylist in the Sparks Street area for almost two decades. She moved to Ottawa in 2003 and built her reputation and client base at the storied Rinaldo’s Hair Salon which was then located in the World Exchange Plaza. Stefania immediately fell in love with the historic Sparks Street and spent many lunch hours there fantasizing about someday opening her own salon on the street. In 2015, her dream was realized, and she opened Society Salon and Blow Dry Bar, now located at 90 Sparks. She employs former students of hers from Algonquin College, where she teaches Hairstyling part-time, and is proud of the salon’s certification with the Ontario Living Wage Association. Stefania has been a board member of the Sparks Street BIA for the last year and a half, and is also a founding board member of the Ontario Professional Hairstylist Association. Stefania draws her inspiration from her travels to other cities with thriving pedestrian malls and sees the great potential for Sparks Street as an iconic historical destination for tourists and local residents alike.

General Manager / Operating Partner of Bier Markt Ottawa located at 156 Sparks Street
Peter has called Ottawa home for the last 25 years. He has launched and managed businesses in the Ottawa core for over a decade. He has spent his last eight years as the General Manager and Operating Partner of The Bier Markt Ottawa. Named a Top 40 under 40 by Ottawa Magazine, Peter has worked with many charities over the past eight years that impact the Ottawa community, namely the Ottawa Heart Institute, being a board member, Peter has helped lead fundraising efforts to more than a half a million dollars in five years. As a former member of the Sparks Street BIA, Peter has been highly dedicated and engaged in seeing the growth, development, and success of Sparks Street from day one.

DANIEL HAYSTON
Owner of Le Moulin de Provence (KD) located at 30 Metcalfe Street
Daniel has been a resident of the City of Ottawa for over 15 years and has operated a local business within the Sparks Street BIA for over 7 of those years. As an avid entrepreneur, Daniel’s daily responsibilities include managing three downtown cafés with his wife Karina, real estate investment/management as well as maintaining full time work as an environmental consultant. While operating a business within the Spark Street BIA, Daniel has developed a valuable network and exchanged ideas with entities including the NCC, Ottawa Tourism, local MPs, local BIAs, real estate developers, small business owners, tourists and local residents. Daniel firmly believes that the path for making Ottawa a better place, for everyone, must start at its core, and can only begin through open dialog, involving the exchange of past and current experiences and new, original, ideas.

I am the founder and operator of Escape Tours and Rentals in Ottawa. I started my company with only a website in 2015. Since 2016, I grew Escape gradually on Sparks Street to have a fleet of 180 bikes, electric bikes, and electric scooters by 2022 and into a thriving business. We offer daily guided sightseeing tours and rentals to tourists and locals and are rated the #1 outdoor activity in Ottawa on TripAdvisor. I am passionate about promoting Ottawa as a worldwide destination for cycling and outdoor activities and showing that Sparks can be and is a thriving street for local businesses to grow and shine. Having run my business on Sparks Street for 7 years, I will bring valuable insight to the table as a board member and contribute to our collective effort to make the street thrive!
